Inspection of Operational Assurance in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

We are grateful to those employees of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the members of partner agencies and those individuals who provided us with information and contributed constructively to our interviews and fieldwork. In particular, we would like to offer our thanks to Jim Holden, the Head of Safety and Assurance, and his staff, who positively engaged and worked with us during this inspection. The fieldwork took place predominantly within the Service’s facilities and buildings. We are grateful for the facilitation of our requests for access to key personnel and for the use of meeting rooms across the Service to conduct our wide-ranging set of interviews.
